Clinical study to test the impact of MTT (microbiota transfer therapy) on the gut microbiota component and gastrointestinal symptoms in ASD children. MTT included 2 weeks of antibiotic treatment, a bowel cleanse and then an extended fecal transplant (FMT). An 80% reduction in gastrointestinal symptoms was observed. This improvement persisted 8 weeks after treatment. Behavioral symptoms improved even after 8 weeks of treatment. Successful attachment from the microbiota donor was observed and the observed changes persisted after treatment (followed for 8 weeks).
