Study conducted to evaluate the potential anticonvulsant property of ALAC in mouse models. Study on over 400 animals in different experimental models: - audiogenic seizures in GEPR-9 rats - MES test (electroshock-induced seizures) - pilocarpine-induced seizures, absence of seizures WAG Rij rats. It was seen that single-dose administration of ALAC has no effect while chronic administration of 5 days or more is able to prevent seizures or attenuate the effect associated with increased plasma trp/LNAA ratio. It is able to control both types of seizures induced by Pilocarpine. Thanks to this study ALAC enters the screening programs for new drugs of the NIH (National Institutes Health USA).
